Today we commemorate the feast day of St. John Vianney, the patron of priests. The extraordinary simplicity of this man earned him his sainthood. The virtue of simplicity means being grateful for what we have and celebrating who we are as God’s children. Being simple is recognizing that all that we are and all that we have is God’s. In remembrance of St. John Vianney, the patron of priests, I humbly ask you to pray for your priests, that they may persevere in their mission as signs of Christ’s living sacrifice for His Church.
