The Emergency Room

The Emergency Room provides a central facility for the treatment of emergency cases that require immediate examination and treatment such as injuries or illnesses of a traumatic nature or non-emergency cases that may not necessarily require immediate attention such as headaches, respiratory infection, dressing changes, and suture removals. The unit is divided into three (3) sections to cater to Medicine, Pediatric and Surgery cases and is manned by paramedical staff and students on training who are equally complemented by Resident Physicians from various Departments. 

An ER triage serving as a temporary medical evaluation area for specified cases is conveniently located before the main ER entrance.

The Anesthesia Department

The Department of Anesthesia is a discipline within the practice of medicine specializing in the medical management of patients who are, among others, undergoing surgery or other potentially painful or stressful medical procedures. 

The consultants are specialized in general, cardviovascular, thoracic, critical care, vascular, pain, pediatric and obstetric anesthesia and are provided with a recovery and viewing room in the surgical suite for better monitoring of patients recovering from anesthesia. 

The Department’s Residency Training Program is duly accredited by the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology and at present, there are four (4) Resident Physicians on training.

The Department of Medicine

The Department has in its roster Medical Staff with specialties/sub-specialties in the following: Cardiovascular, Dermatology, Diabetology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, Psychiatry, Physiatry and Occupational Medicine, Pulmonology and Rheumatology.

At present, the Department has twelve (12) Resident Physicians on a three-year Residency Training in Internal Medicine which is duly accredited by the Philippine College of Physicians.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Just like the other Departments of the Hospital, the Department maintains an active out-patient clinic where pre- and post- natal care, among others are given. 

The Department has eight (8) Resident Physicians on a four-year Residency Training in OB-Gynecology which is duly accredited by the Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecological Society.

The Department of Ophthalmology

The Department of Ophthalmology is equipped with the basic instruments and facilities necessary to render proper medical and surgical eye care and treatment to patients with eye problems and diseases.

It maintains an active out-patient clinic which serves as an effective training ground for the Department’s Residency Training which is duly accredited by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology

It is the objective of the Department to provide service and training in this specialty so that the Department is provided with the needed instruments/facilities for adequate diagnosis and treatment of the ear, nose and throat. A consultant heads the Department assisted by a Resident Physician who takes charge of supervising rotating medical interns, mans its Out-Patient Department and assists as well the Department’s consultants in surgical operations.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

The Laboratory is a major ancillary department of the Hospital and is fully equipped with analytical and automated equipment as well as information systems to ensure accurate results.

The Laboratory is accredited by the Department of Health as a Tertiary Laboratory for training Medical Technology Interns.

The Department’s Residency Training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is accredited by the Philippine Society of Pathologists and at present, there are two (2) Resident Physicians on training in the Laboratory.

The Department of Pediatrics

For better patient care, the Department maintains a referral system with Consultants who have sub-specialties in the following: Cardiology, Developmental Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, Neonatology, Neurology, Nephrology, Oncology and Pulmonology,

The Department has been accredited by the Philippine Pediatric Society and has six (6) Resident Physicians undergoing their 3-year Residency Training in the Hospital.

The Department of Radiology

The Department offers the following procedures: General and Diagnostic, Special Contrast, Interventional, General Ultrasound , Ultrasound-guided biopsy and coordinates with CIMSI for its owned, managed and operated CT Scan, CT Scan-guided biopsy, and Sono-mammography.

The Philippine College of Radiology has accredited the Residency Training Program of the Department which has now four (4) Resident Physicians in their four-year Residency training.

The Department of Surgery

The Department offers the following surgical procedures: Breast Surgery, Cardio-vascular, Colorectal, Head and Neck. Hepatobiliary, Laparoscopic, Neuro, Oncology, Orthopedic, Pediatric, Plastic, Thoracic, Trauma and Urology.

The Department offers five-year Resident Training Program which is accredited by the Philippine College of Surgeons. At present, there are six (6) Resident Physicians on training in the Department.

The Dental Unit

The unit’s clinical function is to render professional service to both in and out-patients of the Hospital in accordance with the precepts of modern scientific dentistry.

The Dental Unit is conveniently located on the main floor of the Hospital’s Main Building, adjacent to the Pharmacy Department and is open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Mondays thru Saturdays.

The TB Dots Center

The Center was made operational in partnership with the Department of Health in January, 2007 for a period of three (3) years with funding coming from the Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) under two schemes: the PPMD Revolving Fund and Installation Fund. 

Under private initiated Public-Private Mix Directly-Observed Treatment with Short Course Chemotherapy Unit, the Unit’s operations and management services are centered on a privately established and run DOTS facility that coordinates all DOTS activities in the region.
