Target Area/Beneficiaries

MOMFI answers the call for health services in far-flung, depressed, and underserved areas through sponsoring groups such as the local parish, the local government and non-government organizations. The priority recipients are the indigent and sick families. The selection of a mission site is based on the criteria that health care services are inaccessible, the population is in dire need of medical attention and/or the location is one where the most number of qualified beneficiaries can have access to the site (in areas where residential areas are dispersed).

Initially, MOMFI's operation was limited to the Cordillera Region where it has served all of the six provinces: Benguet, Ifugao, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra and Mt. Province. Today, MOMFI caters to other areas in northern Luzon such as Tarlac, Zambales, Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and La Union. At one time, it has even reached Camarines Sur.
