National Bible Week 2013Schedule of Activities
January 23 (Diego Silang Lobby, 830AM). Bible enthronement ceremony and opening of exhibits. *Please bring your own Bible.
January 23 – 27 (Diego Silang Lobby and Devesse Lobby, Bakakeng campus). Posters and Poems exhibit.
Other activities include Bible quizzes and distribution of bookmarks with inspirational texts to the SLU community.
SLU PARISH ANNOUNCEMENT On February 22, 2013(Friday), the SLU Parish will be having the SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION for high school and college students. In connection with this, all college students (Catholics) who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation are advised to submit their names to the parish office and make the proper arrangement on or before February 9, 2012. The requirements are the following: - A photocopy of Baptismal Certificate - Name of at least one Sponsor - Fee of P 150.00
Alongside the religious education formally given in the classrooms, students are given ample chances to participate in spiritual-liturgical and missionary-pastoral activities in the University under the guidance and animation of the Parish Team. Among the regular activities meant to sustain the Christian growth and maturity of the students are recollections, seminars, Bible study, outreach programs, social action campaigns, and even one-on-one spiritual direction. Liturgical services that are offered are the daily Masses, Weddings, Baptisms and Confessions. Moreover, various parish organizations are open for those who wish to commit themselves to specific services under the parish's programs and objectives. ServicesMasses
