This book is the output of the initial taxonomic studies done by the Natural Science Research Unit on Cordillera lichens. It is the first of a series of volumes on the Cordillera Flora. It includes lichens collected and identified from selected areas of Baguio City and the Benguet Provice. Identifications were done through the use of available keys and guides. These were based essentially on morphological features, habitat, as well as chemistry of the lichens
