Saint Louis University (SLU) through the Office of Global Relations and Alumni Affairs (OGRAA) and School of Medicine (SOM) hosted an orientation for the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) inbound international medical interns’ arrival last 07 May 2025 at the SLU Sacred Heart Medical Center.
SLU President, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, warmly welcomed the students and the SLU-SHMC provided an orientation for the internship program and procedures. The interns were then given a tour of the facilities and rooms of the hospital. Dr. Paul Adlai Quitiquit led the meeting and introduced the doctors and staff available at the time.

Furthermore, the SLU-OGRAA then followed through with an introduction of Baguio’s lifestyle and its culture to help the interns better adapt and understand the everyday society in SLU.
Additionally, Mr. Gerry Soriano from the University Registrar’s office, helped in discussing the files and data needed to finalize their stay here in the institution.
In line with SLU’s commitment to the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), this partnership ignites the Quality Education (SDG 4) and Partnership for Goals (SDG 17) which upholds the determination of the university.
