With the theme: “Rising Up to Global Challenges through Engineering Education,” the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES) held the 9th International Conference on Engineering Education (ICEE-PHIL 2023) from 10 to 11 November 2023 at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños Baker Hall in Laguna.

Saint Louis University joined more than 200 state colleges and universities and private higher education in the Philippines in a number of plenary sessions, student and faculty research presentations, and awarding ceremonies for best researches. The event was highlighted by the Teaching Excellence Awards, signing of partnership agreements with government and non-government agencies, and presentations from luminaries in the engineering education sector in the country and abroad.
The university was represented onsite by the Dean of the School of Engineering and Architecture and concurrent PAES Vice-President for Luzon, and co-chair of the ICEE-PHIL 2023 program and workshop committees. In the online platform, SEA Department Heads and the SEA Associate Dean actively participated in all the conference proceedings. By joining the event, SLU continuously commits to addressing SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for Goals.
