Saint Louis University – Sacred Heart Medical Center(SLU-SHMC) in collaboration with the SLU- School of Nursing, Allied Health, and Biological Sciences (SONAHBS) with the Baguio City Tourism and City Mayorโs Office welcomed the faculty and students of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) last 10 July 2024.
The UTSA students are scheduled to have their immersion duties at the Pediatrics Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit of SLU-SHMC. This will provide them opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the healthcare system of the Medical Center. The SLU-SHMCโs dedicated team of professionals will be mentoring and guiding these students throughout their immersion, ensuring a valuable and educational experience for all parties involved.
Prior to their immersion duties, the UTSA students, as well as their faculty, were toured at the Global Relations and Alumni Affairs Office, Sunflower Pedagogical and Development Center, and Sunflower Halfway Home for Boys of the University.
Through the collaboration of different agencies, SLU is able to offer a diverse and enriching experience to international students, as the UTSA nursing students, allowing them to learn and grow in a multicultural environment. โ SLU-SHMC
