Saint Louis University (SLU) is now offering a Masters in Nursing Education (MNE) degree. This came after the approval of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) per CEB Resolution No. 016-2024.
SLU is one of the eligible Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to offer the program which will open in the upcoming first semester of the Academic Year 2024-2025.
The MNE is a one year enhanced, special non-thesis master’s degree program in nursing to be delivered in the University through blended and technology-mediated learning, focusing on the Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL).
Following the approval of the program and a formal invitation from CHED, representatives from SLU’s graduate and nursing faculty took part in a Curriculum Development workshop for MNE on 11-13 July 2024 at Talisay City, Batangas. SLU was represented through the presence of Dr. Teresa Basatan, Dr. Genevieve Antonio, and Dr. Mark Jacob Bascos. The program was launched through the collaboration of the Technical Panel of Nursing, University of the Philippines Manila, and University of the Philippines Open University to address the urgent need of HEIs offering BS Nursing programs in the Philippines.
