The Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Junior Saint Louis University Chapter (PICHE-JSLUC) through the Board Ops 2024 initiative, geared up the preparations of the Chemical Engineering graduates for the November 2024 Licensure Examination. The program, designed to combat stress and isolation often felt during this intense preparation period, centered around reinforcing community building, inspiration, and emotional and spiritual support.
Central to the event was a mass sponsorship and a send-off activity. Graduates received essential exam preparation materials, including index cards, sticky notes, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and motivational tokens like flower bouquets, bookmarks, and personalized letters. These efforts served as a tangible reminder to the graduates of the unwavering support during the challenging journey ahead.

The initiative proved successful with 56 ChE graduates passing the November 2024 licensure examination. Adding to the celebration, Engr. Mark Angel Permato achieved a remarkable feat by securing 8th place in the overall rankings with an impressive 88.90% rating. These results highlighted the event’s significant impact on the morale and readiness of the participants.
Beyond its immediate objectives, the event contributes meaningfully to PICHE-JSLUC’s overarching goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) Quality Education and (SDG 16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions in its role in fostering professional growth and community spirit. In addition, it reinforced Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17), as evident in the organization’s commitment to supporting its members, and bolstered its reputation for excellence. Long-term benefits extended to the participants, who gained practical tools and felt a renewed sense of belonging and motivation.
The organization plans to formalize alumni involvement as mentors and motivators, providing an even stronger support system for future examinees. By incorporating these recommendations, PICHE-JSLUC continues to enhance the effectiveness of future Board Ops initiatives, ensuring continued inspiration and support for graduates as they pursue their professional ventures.
