Geared at sustaining excellence, Saint Louis University (SLU) assessed the progress of the different units and offices vis a vis their annual targets during the Management Review (MR) for AY 2024-2025 held at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, SLU Main Campus, on 11 February 2025.
SLU President, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, in his opening remarks, stated, “SLU is not just keeping up with quality education, but SLU is setting the bar.” He then thanked the unit heads and staff in ensuring the university’s commitment to “service, excellence, and faith” as manifested by international rankings, global accreditations, and top-notch Louisian graduates, among others.

During the program, the Director of the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), Mr. Hector L. Martin, discussed key data including the Status of Quality Objectives Monitoring and Request for Action. This was followed by the report on the General Satisfaction Survey results by the Director of the University Research and Innovation Center (UNRIC), Richel L. Lamadrid, PhD. The report summarized the various data sets contributing to stakeholder satisfaction. Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Allan Frank Silva, then presented SLU’s evaluation reports for external providers.

Moreover, cluster Quality Objectives Monitoring (QOM) Progress Reports covering August to December 2024 were presented by the following unit representatives:
- Finance Cluster: Roberto M. Arguelles, PhD (Vice President for Finance)
- Mission and Identity Cluster: Koshia Rosete (Secretary, Office of the Vice President for Mission and Identity)
- Hospital Cluster: Paul Adlai Quitiquit, MD (Hospital Administrator, SLU-Sacred Heart Medical Center)
- Internal Audit Cluster: Delia Latawan (Director, Office of the Internal Auditor)
- Administration Cluster: Jeremy Lee Dela Cruz (Director, Human Resource Department)
- Academic Cluster: Atty. Yasmine Lee Tadeo (Dean, School of Law)









In the afternoon session, discussions revolved around the implications of utilizing and adhering to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Executive Assistant to the President, Joselito C. Gutierrez, PhD discussed SLU’s position in terms of incorporating SDGs in various programs both inside and outside of the university, which is aligned with SLU’s advocacies and the CICM mission statement.
The university’s programs on internationalization, accreditation, and rankings, were also reported on by the Chair of Institutional Reputation and Effectiveness, Freda B. Paulino, PhD. She highlighted the cruciality of research pertaining to the different rankings and accreditation. The Chair of the Institutional Program Assessment and Accreditation, Geraldine S. Wakat, PhD, concluded the event by discussing results of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) findings, focusing on data results about quality and continuous improvement.
Coordinated by the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), the MR allowed the administration to discuss action plans on targets that are yet to be met. It gave an overview of how SLU fosters lifelong opportunities and progress, giving insight into how it ensures that its stakeholders receive the best service possible.
