Barangays Bangaan and Ambassing in Sagada, Mt. Province and Medical Outreach Missions Foundation Initiative (MOMFI), hosted a health outreach initiative aimed at delivering essential medical and dental care to the local residents from 15-16 March 2025. The mission brought together a team of 18 healthcare professionals, including Dr. Leonora L. Benedito (OB-Gyn), Dr. Therese S. Dolipas-Tolentino (Pediatrics-Allergy and Immunology), Dr. Rosemarie J. Dominguez (Internist-Diebetology), and Dr. Alexander U. Oblinado (General Practioner) along with six third-year medical students, and four first-year medical students.

The barangay officials played a vital role in managing patient flow, helping the event run efficiently. Their organizational efforts were crucial in maintaining the steady pace of the outreach. This health mission was a resounding success, highlighting the value of collaboration between healthcare professionals, students, and local communities. For the medical students, it offered a rare chance to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world context while gaining insight into the unique challenges of delivering healthcare in underserved communities. The overwhelming hospitality and gratitude from residents underscored the strong sense of community that made the entire experience fulfilling for all involved.
This initiative contributes directly to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by promoting healthcare access in remote areas, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the collaboration between medical professionals, students, and local government units to improve community health outcomes.
