The Saint Louis University (SLU) Association of Geodetic Engineering Students (AGES) organized a mass offering for the upcoming Geodetic Engineering Licensure Examination (GELE) which is scheduled for 29-30 September 2025. The mass was held at Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish and commenced at 4:45 PM on 18 September 2025.
Throughout the mass, prayers were offered for the examinees’ success, wisdom, and perseverance, including the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the GELE takers.The homily highlighted the responsibility that comes with words and actions, emphasizing their inevitable consequences. It reminded the participants to uphold their profession to the highest standards while maintaining humility.
The mass offering embodied the principles of CICM’s advocacy for Justice and Peace by creating a supportive community atmosphere that encourages ethical behavior and responsibility among future professionals. It also affirms the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 by emphasizing the mental and spiritual health of students and 16 by fostering a sense of responsibility to help create a fair and a peaceful society in their future work.


The service concluded with a collective prayer for the student’s success, health, and clarity during the exams, followed by a final blessing. The students left the parish with renewed peace and confidence, knowing they have the support of their families, friends, teachers, and community.
Overall, the mass offering was a meaningful and spiritually uplifting event, preparing the students spiritually for their exams and uniting the community in a shared prayer for success. This event proves that the AGES’s support doesn’t end inside the university. It extends outside to our alumni and future professionals as they prepare for one of the most critical milestones in their careers. Through this mass offering, AGES reaffirms its commitment to the success of its graduates, offering not just moral and physical support but spiritual guidance as well.
