The SLU Association of Geodetic Engineering Students (AGES) recently concluded the Louisian GE(Geodetic Engineering)ving Back program—a meaningful initiative that originated from the alumni members of SLU-AGES. With the assistance of AGES, this program embodies the alumni’s purpose of giving back to their alma mater by supporting the 24 former SLU-AGES members who took the Geodetic Engineering Licensure Examination (GELE) 2025, held on 29-30 September 2025 at the PRC-CAR office, Otek Street, Baguio City.
This program consisted of several phases, starting with the Louisian GE alumni fundraising to support the AGES community, followed by AGES members canvassing, repacking, and distributing exam kits and snacks to the examinees on September 28, the day before the exams. The exam kits included envelopes, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, tissue, alcohol, and medicines that they can use. The funds for this initiative come solely from the donations of Louisian GE alumni. On 29-30 September, AGES members, alumni, and professors came together to send off the GELE 2025 examinees as they take the board exams, reminding them that the AGES family is cheering them on every step of the way.

The AGES Louisian GEving Back program came to a successful close on September 30. This program brought together generations of experience and support, showing our examinees that they’re not alone in this journey. With guidance from professors, encouragement from alumni, and the support of the AGES community, they’re empowered to face their exams with confidence and hope. The association expresses its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and contributed to the event’s success, especially to the AGES EXECOM Officers and GE Alumni for their exceptional leadership and dedication in ensuring the smooth execution of the drive. The initiative is aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
