Saint Louis University (SLU), represented by Mr. Hector L. Martin, Director, Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance, and Joselito C. Gutierrez, PhD, Executive Assistant to the SLU President, attended the AUN-QA International Conference 2025 with the theme “Fortifying Higher Education: Strategic Quality Assurance for Resilience and Institutional Immunity in ASEAN” held at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia from 5 to 7 November 2025.
This conference focused on making quality assurance at the university level resilient through the conduct of internal and external quality assurance mechanisms. Dr. Gutierrez, being one of the AUN-QA Assessors, joined the special session of AUN-QA Assessors in the afternoon of 6 November 2025. The session highlighted the updates from technical experts and AUN-QA Secretariat and underscored the guide to AUN-QA Assessment at Programme Level. Mr. Martin, on the other hand, attended the Chief Quality Assurance Officers on 7 November 2025.
SLU’s participation in the AUN-QA International Conference is in line with the direction of Rev. Fr Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, University President, to strengthen the internationalization direction of the university. Likewise, this is attuned with SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 16 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and CICM Advocacy on Justice since the objective is to provide quality education and services to the stakeholders.
