The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Saint Louis University (JPIA-SLU) participated in the ASSET 2025 Phase 1 Screening, which concluded on 17 November 2025 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
In this year’s screening, the organization was represented by two BS Accountancy students of the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing and Information Studies (SAMCIS), Airixzel Rillera and Neil Joshua Tigas. Although Phase 1 marks the beginning of the larger ASSET journey, their participation stands as a meaningful achievement.
As one of the recognized academic organizations dedicated to shaping future accounting professionals, JPIA–SLU continues to encourage its members to pursue opportunities that enrich learning and expand their professional horizons.
SLU’s participation in ASSET 2025 reflects CICM’s Integrity of Creation advocacy and supports several UN Sustainable Development Goals. Moreover, JPIA–SLU’s involvement supported several United Nations. JPIA–SLU’s focus on competency-building programs aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education). A transparent screening process upholds SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) through fairness and accountability. Collaboration between academia and national organizations demonstrates SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), strengthening educational initiatives nationwide. (Article by SLU-JPIA)
