Saint Louis University (SLU) welcomed the Department of Science and Technology Science and Education Institute (DOST-SEI) for an evaluation and ocular visit on 20 January 2026, held at the Alejandro Roces Boardroom, Fr. Burgos Administrative Center, SLU Main Campus.
The said visit was conducted by DOST-SEI Technical Working Group (TWG) in response to the application request from the SLU School Advanced Studies (SAS) to become a member of the National Consortium in Graduate Science and Mathematics Education (NCGSME).
Led by the TWG Chair, Engr. Albert G. Marino, Director III, SEI, the team of 12 TWG members and staff reviewed pertinent information and data of the following Science and Technology (S&T) degree programs of SAS:
- Doctor of Philosophy in Education Major in Science Education,
- Master of Arts in Education Major in Science Education, and
- Master of Arts in Education Major in Mathematics Education.









The TWG assessed the capability of SLU SAS to serve as a delivering institution of the Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education (CBPSME) under the DOST-SEI Graduate Scholarship Program. An ocular visit to the university laboratories and facilities was also held as part of the review.
