The Saint Louis University Sacred Heart Medical Heart Center (SHMC) TB – Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course (TB-DOTS) was awarded for its TB prevention initiatives on 26 March 2026 at the Baguio Botanical Garden.
The institution’s success in its TB-prevention campaign and case management was awarded the following: “TB Champion of Baguio City – Outstanding TB Dots Implementing Facilities”, “TB Prevention Champion Award”, “Gawad TB Warriors ng Baguio”, and “Q4 2025 – 100% Treatment Success Rate”.




In line with the World TB Day Celebration themed “Yes! We can End TB – Led by Countries, Powered by People”, the Baguio City Health Services Office (HSO) recognized health workers and institutions for their outstanding contributions in the fight against TB, including SLU SHMC.
The certificates of recognition were presented during the morning rites on 06 April 2026 at the Fr. Paul Van Parijs Event Center, SLU Main Campus, led by SLU President Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD and SHMC Medical Center Chief Dr. Paul Adlai B. Quitiquit.
The recognition demonstrates SLU’s excellence in compassionate and quality healthcare that educates and empowers communities, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and 4 (Quality Education).
