Rising Creatives: SLU Communication Students step into the world of advertising at Adobo Magazine’s “Portfolio Night ‘25”

On 18 November 2025, four Communication students joined “The One Club for Creativity’s Portfolio Night Manila ‘25” hosted by Adobo Magazine, one of the leading and multi-awarded Philippine publications. Held at the Ayala Museum, Makati City, big advertising professionals and other young creatives converged in this passion-filled event that ushered participants the opportunity to connect and showcase their prized portfolios to learn and be honed into industry-ready professionals. 

Extension in Action: Designing Sustainable Legacies in Higher Education

On 5 November 2025, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office I convened the R1 Structuring Harmonized Alignment of Research and Extension Strategies (SHARES) 2025 Seminar held at Patio by Balai Norte, San Juan, La Union. With the theme “Extension in Action: Strengthening Communities for Sustainable Development,” the seminar gathered research directors, coordinators, and extension leaders from higher education institutions across Region I. Jeramie N. Molino, PhD, Sustainable Research Extension Officer of Saint Louis University’s Research, Innovation, and Sustainable Extension (RISE) Center, was invited as the Resource Speaker to deliver a lecture on “Sustainability Strategies of Higher Education Institutions for Extension Programs.”

Siglat MinHero: The Saint Louis University (SLU) MinES Safety Week 2025 Outreach Program on 8 February 2025 held at Evelio Javier Memorial National High School brought together students, faculty, and experts to promote and enhance emergency preparedness. Organized by the SLU Mining Engineering Society, this initiative emphasizes hands-on training in life-saving skills, ensuring that young learners gain the confidence and knowledge needed during crises.
