Two teams from the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) landed top positions during the final judging phase of the 18th Search for the Best Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) held last October 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College, Marikina City.
Team 0_day_SLU from Saint Louis University landed in 5th place in the recently concluded Trend Micro University Capture the Flag (uCTF) Competition. After the final round of competition which was held online, the five top teams, who were ranked based on their total scores were selected. These top 5 teams, including 0_day_SLU, will be recognized and given special awards during the Decode 2024 event which was held on 10 September 2024 at Edsa Shangrila Manila.
In a heartening display of appreciation and recognition, the Department of Accountancy, jointly with the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, hosted a grand testimonial banquet for the newest Louisian Certified Public Accountants last 6 August 2024. Held at Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, the event gathered educators, reviewees, students, and esteemed guests from P&A Grant Thornton, SGV & Co., Deloitte, Institute of Management Accountants, and PICPA to honor the successes of these individuals. The elegant banquet hall, furnished with modern Barong and Filipiniña-themed decorations, provided a suitable setting for this commemorative event.
SLU BSIT’s Team 0-Day_SLU emerged as champion, besting eight other teams coming from various higher education institutions in the Cordillera Administrative Region in the recently concluded HackForGov 3 2024 Challenge.
