SLU Residence Halls interns join Plenary Session on Financial Literacy 

Saint Louis University’s Residence Halls (SRH) held a plenary session on 6 April 2025 at the SLU Ladies’ Residence Hall (SLULRH). Residents from the SLU Men’s Residence Hall (MRH), Ladies’ Residence Halls (LRH), and Maryheights Students’ Residence Hall (MSRH) participated in the event that aimed to strengthen financial literacy among student interns—aligning with the university’s advocacy for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Planting Seeds of Change: SLU Young Entrepreneurs conducts Project Ambag outreach program for Tinongdan Farmers  

Driven by compassion and Christian spirit, and empowered by a shared vision of sustainable  impact, the Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (YES) of Saint Louis University (SLU), in collaboration with  the 4th Year BS Entrepreneurship – Business Implementation class, successfully conducted an  outreach program titled Project Ambag Series: Hatid Suporta, Ani ng Pag-asa! in Tinongdan,  Itogon, Benguet on 5 April 2025.

Pag-IBIG Fund StAR Award recognizes SLU as Top Employer

Saint Louis University (SLU) was bestowed the Pag-IBIG Stakeholders’ Accomplishment Report (StAR) Award as one of PAG-IBIG Fund’s Top Employers (Private Sector) for the year 2024, given during the Pag-IBIG Fund Stakeholders’ Accomplishment Report YE2024 Royce Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Mabalacat, Pampanga, on 28 March 2025. This is the second time SLU received the StAR Award for its commitment towards the welfare of its employees. 

CPath Gathering

SLU hosts 2nd National UNHCR Philippines CPath Gathering of Rohingya refugee-scholars

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) – Philippines and the Philippine Government, through the Department of Justice – Refugees and Stateless Persons Protection Unit (DOJ-RSPPU), conducted the 2nd National Complementary Pathways (CPath) Gathering of Rohingya refugee-scholars from 7 to 10 January 2025 at the American Corner Baguio, 4th Floor, Msgr. Charles Vath Building, SLU Main Campus, Bonifacio St., Baguio City.  

SLU hosts the International Volunteers’ Day 2024 Celebration in CAR

In line with the theme, “Igniting Volunteer-led Innovation for Deep Economic and Social Transformation: Bolunterismo Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas,” delegates from different Baguio-Benguet’s International volunteer organizations gathered at the Saint Louis University Incubator for Research, Innovation, and Business Center (SIRIB) to celebrate the International Volunteers’ Day on 06 December 2024. 

SLU IE students win Third Prize at Swiss Innovation Prize Competition

Three Industrial Engineering (IE) students from Saint Louis University (SLU) won Third Prize for the Prosperity Category of the prestigious Swiss Innovation Prize Competition 2024 through their paper entitled, “Project IE: Innovative Food Process Manufacturing with learning technology and Dynamic Pricing System” held by the Embassy of Switzerland and the Swiss Cultural Fund on 21 November 2024.
