Members of the Medical Outreach Mission Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) had the privilege of serving the resilient community of Daklan, Bokod, Benguet, on 9 February 2025 providing vital medical care to those in need. This mission prioritized delivering accessible healthcare services to this remote area, aiming to enhance the well-being of its residents through compassionate and dedicated medical outreach.
Barangay Virac, Itogon, Benguet, partnered with Saint Louis University to launch a computer-based hazard mapping program, enhancing disaster preparedness through technology.
The Medical Outreach Mission Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) traveled to Sagada, Mountain Province, from 1-2 February 2025. The invitation of an alumna to provide medical services to the residents of Poblacion or otherwise known as Patay in Sagada during the celebration of the Etag Festival. The mission aimed to address the diverse health needs of the community. A dedicated team of 20 volunteers, composed of 7 doctors, 2 interns, and 11 medical students, collaborated closely with local volunteers, health workers, dentists, and doctors to deliver consultations, wellness checks, dental extractions, eye exams, and patient education.
From 28-29 January 2025 Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) and MedKCom conducted a Medical Mission in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, offering the community an essential health service. Medical professionals, and dedicated volunteers gratified a two days Medical and Surgical mission across the barangay of Libtong and town of Sawat, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.
The Saint Louis University Basic Education School – Laboratory High School Department (SLU BEdS – LHS) kicked off Intramurals 2025 on 16 January 2025 at the Gerard Decaestecker Open Court, SLU Navy Base Campus with lively cheers from various teams, all eager to showcase their athletic skills. On 12 January 2025, Members of the Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) proudly spearheaded a transformative medical mission in Brgy. Baybay Norte, Sual, Panagasinan, delivering essential healthcare services directly to underserved members of the community. This mission was conducted in collaboration with Rotary Clubs of San Juan, Angeles, and San Fernando City North.
The Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI), alongside a dedicated team of doctors, interns, junior interns, and medical students, successfully conducted a medical mission at the Benguet State University Closed Gym, delivering vital healthcare services to the local community. This event took place on 24 November 2024, and provided free consultations, medicines, and vitamins to a total of 336 patients.
On 19 November 2024, Saint Louis University-Sacred Heart Medical Center (SLU-SHMC) affirmed its stance as a leader in healthcare excellence, winning the Level III – Grand Prize of Safe Hospital Award at the 45th Annual National Convention of the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines Inc. (PHAPi). The event was held at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, under the theme “Creating a Culture of Safety: From Prevention to Innovation”.
A passionate group of parents came together to attend the third and final sessions of the Parenting Pathway Workshop on 09 November 2024 at the SLU Sunflower Child and Youth Wellness Center’s Pedagogical Developmental Center (PDC).
