BSP Deputy Governor talks on consumer protection, anti-financial account scamming

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) visited Saint Louis University (SLU) for a discourse about new banking legislations– Financial Consumer Protection Act (FCPA) and Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA)– in order to promote awareness among financial consumers on their rights and obligations under the law, particularly amidst growing fraud cases. 

SOL delegates attend 34th National Convention by ALSP

Student Law Practitioners from Saint Louis University’s (SLU) School of Law (SOL) took part in the 34th National Convention held by The Association of Law Students of the Philippines, Inc. (ALSP). The National Covention and Membership Renewal at Dynasty Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City (Mindanao) with the theme “LAMBIGIT – Fostering Community Ties Towards Creating Socially Conscious and Well-Equipped Contemporary Law Students” on 13 and 14 April 2024.

SC presents “Legal Feminism in Philippine Gender Jurisprudence” study in SLU

SLU hosted the lecture on “Legal Feminism in Philippine Gender Jurisprudence” at the Fr. Joseph Van den Daelen CICM Center for Culture and the Arts Theater. In the said event, the Supreme Court  (SC) of the Philippines, through Associate Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, Co-Chairperson of the SC Committee on Gender Responsiveness in the Judiciary (CGRJ), presented the aforesaid study, supported by the European Union’s Governance in Justice (GOJUST) II Programme to SLU law faculty and students.
