SLU participates in Season of Creation 2025 highlighting the role of AI in protecting IP rights

The Season of Creation 2025 concluded with a meaningful ecumenical service and forum held at the CRC Hall, Bishop’s House Compound, on 6 October 2025. A focal point of the event was a discussion on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support the protection of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, facilitated by Saint Louis University’s (SLU) Chief Information Technology Officer and Data Protection Officer, Cecilia Mercado, PhD. 

Protecting Data, Building Trust: School Leaders uphold Data Privacy Awareness

Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, a comprehensive Data Privacy Awareness Training was held on 18 October 2025 at Holy Spirit Academy in Bangued, Abra, for principals and registrars of the Diocesan Schools of Abra. The training aimed to promote responsible data stewardship and institutional accountability in the digital era.
