With only a few days of preparation, the Marketing Mixers successfully brought the essence of a Filipino fiesta to the halls of the Devesse Building. Together with various co-curricular and extra-curricular organizations of Saint Louis University (SLU), the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) conducted a 2-day fundraising event last 26 and 27 October 2022 at the Devesse Plaza.
SAMCIS Marketing Mixers’ booth was the crowd favorite during the event for their Filipino favorites products and fiesta game. They were able to employ the CICM Advocacy of Integrity of Creation and Sustainable Development Goals including the 9th SDG: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and 17th SDG: Partnerships for the Goals.
The collected funds are intended for the upcoming SLU Christmas Tree Lighting and Lantern Parade this December 2022. The activities on those events will be fun games, food booths, cosplay auctions, TikTok competitions, and acoustic afternoons. It advances the sustainable development goals that promote strong institutions and partnerships in order to achieve one goal.
