The Baguio City Local Government, led by Councilor Levy Lloyd Orcales and Local Youth Development Officer Ms. Vanessa Olson, held a public consultation for the proposed ordinance entitled “Youth Welfare and Development Code of Baguio City 2022” at the Devesse AVR of Saint Louis University at the Maryheights Campus last November 15, 2022. The Kataas-taasang Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral/ Supreme Student Council (KASAMA/SSC) executive committee, assembly officers, COMELEC, COA, Student Court and officers of university-wide and school-based organizations participated in the said consultation.

Aside from the registration of youth organizations in the City Youth Development Council and National Youth Commission which was discussed by Ms. Olson, Councilor Orcales, who happens to be the head of the Committee on Youth Welfare and Sports Development, discussed the proposed ordinance entitled: Adopting a Youth Welfare and Empowerment Code for the City of Baguio. The Louisian leaders were generous in their inputs and emphasized areas for the improvement of the proposed ordinance.
