Saint Louis University participated in the Transformative Academic Practice for Higher Education Program (TAPHEP) benchmarking activity in Liverpool and London, England from November 6 to 13, 2022.
University of Liverpool (UoL) academics and staff met with the TAPHEP group to demonstrate their professional standards and certification as well as share and debrief the experiences of the participants in the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP). Workshops were conducted to explore how Philippine Universities can adopt some of the UoL and United Kingdom practices into developing training modules tailor-fit to the Philippine Higher Education landscape.
Participants of the project have recently finished the UoL PGCAP delivered online from January to October 2022 and are awaiting their PGCAP graduation and the awarding of their Fellowship into the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) of the UK. The CHED-funded TAPHEP is managed by the University of the Philippines Los Baños and aims to build the capacities of participating faculty members from 19 Philippine Higher Education Institutions.
