The Association of Catholic Universities of the Philippines (ACUP) held its national conference with the theme “Embracing the Spirit of Synodality: Communion, Participation, and Mission,” at Saint Louis University (SLU) in Baguio City from February 23 to 25, 2023.
A key component of the ACUP 2023 National Conference was the General Assembly, where member university presidents and representatives voted on the Board of Directors and Board Members for 2023 to 2025.
Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, president of SLU, was once again elected to lead the Association of Catholic Universities in the Philippines, as announced during the closing ceremonies. As ACUP president, Fr. Sales represents ACUP while serving as the voice for member institutions on various issues. Among his roles include developing strategies and interventions to achieve the association’s goals, articulating the position of Catholic universities for national government policy development, and promoting the member-universities’ commitment to societal transformation and service.
