“Prayer is the link that connects us with God.” – A.B. Simpson
To help students establish a deeper connection with God and to participate in the creation of a better community by having a more profound awareness of their mission in life as God’s children, Marketing Mixers successfully hosted Faithbook: Empowering REALationship in partnership with Ministry of the Word Baguio and CICM Campus Ministry volunteers on April 19, 2023, at Devesse Oval.
Faithbook is a prayer gathering centered on Luke 10:2, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Participants were gathered to strengthen their faith and relationships with God and among each other through exchanges and bible passage sharing. The event made the students realize the significance of prayer while forming good connections among themselves.
For participants to create meaningful moments, a guest speaker was invited to discuss what constitutes a genuine relationship with God and others and how to express purpose in relationships. As a university that promotes the empowerment of the Christian Spirit, Marketing Mixers spearheaded this event to partake in Christ’s mission of sharing His word and goodness. Through this event, Marketing Louisians had an opportunity to connect with others and strengthen their spirituality. Amid a busy schedule, Faithbook gives everyone time to pause and take time with the Lord.
Faithbook aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well Being) and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). The CICM Advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creations is also highlighted in the said activity.
