On February 1, 2023, the Philippine Rheumatology Association (PRA) conducted its 29th Annual Meeting and invited the Saint Louis University Glee Club and other local performing groups to perform for their opening. The PRA had member physicians from all over the country in attendance at New Town Plaza Hotel, Baguio City. The SLU Glee Club opened the ceremony in prayer with their song “Memorare,” arranged by Ryan Cayabyab, followed by the Philippine National Anthem arranged by the SLU Glee Club’s trainer, Mrs. Normita Rio-Pablico.
With the theme, “Reconnect to Stay Relevant,” the 29th Annual Meeting of PRA is centered on SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, highlighting the importance of creating urban areas that are environmentally and socially sustainable. Moreover, the event strongly aligns with the advocacy of the CICM, which prioritizes disaster risk reduction and management. By addressing both sustainable urban development and disaster resilience, this meeting aims to foster resilient and inclusive communities, contributing to society’s overall well-being and progress.
