In celebration of Basic Education and Literacy Month, the Department of Labor and Employment represented by Mr Patrick Rillorta (Department of Labor Officer III), the Rotaract Club of Baguio (RCB) Summer Capital Headed by Pres. Roland Wong, and the Rotaract Club of SLU – SOM shared school bags and school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, including face masks and ascorbic acid syrup to students at the Nangalisan Elementary School at Tuba, Benguet on 5 September 2023 through Project Angel Tree. Also given were 48 bottles of Paracetamol (TEMPRA) Drops for the Immunization Program of the locality which was endorsed to Head Teacher, Ben G. Aromin. A total of 40 students benefited from the said project.
This activity targets SDG Goals 1 No poverty, 3 Good Health and Well-Being, 4 Quality Education, 10 Reduced Inequalities, and 17 Partnerships for the goals. It is also aligned with the CICM Advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, as well as CEAP JEEPGY values of Engaged Citizenship and Youth Empowerment.
