Saint Louis University, through the leadership of Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, initiated the preparation of the Lesson Exemplars for promoting Justice and Peace, Ecological Integrity, Engaged Citizenship, Poverty Alleviation, Gender Equality, Youth Empowerment, Media Education, and Huwag Kang Magnakaw (JEEPGY-ME-HKM) advocacies to be utilized by the member schools of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines – CAR.
The initial training for writeshop was held from 24 to 25 June 2019 at Teng-ab, Bontoc, Mt. Province and the first draft was produced then. During the soft implementation of the lesson exemplars, revisions and modifications were incorporated to include lessons of Kindergarten to Grade 12. Hence, the finalization was conducted last 11 to 12 June 2023 at the Saint Louis School Center.
The trainers and speakers were Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Dr. Stephenie O. Busbus, and Mrs. Annie Marie B. Caguioa. The texts of the lesson exemplars were then edited by Dr. Geraldine S. Wakat. Rev. Fr. Sales, CICM, former Regional Trustee and current Council Member of the CEAP-CAR served as the Consultant.
This project aims to provide the stakeholders, most especially the administrators, teachers, and students with valuable insights and practical approaches on how to teach and deliver the JEEPGY-ME-HKM Advocacies across different grade levels.
