Through the leadership of Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, Saint Louis University (SLU) held the blessing of the water refilling station, Water is Life, at the Diego Silang Building on 28 November 2023.
Fr. Sales shared about the project’s mission in a Facebook post saying, “Purified drinking water here is free for the students to bring their tumblers and refill them here, instead of buying water in a plastic bottle, thus, minimizing our carbon footprints, and help save mother earth.”
To further enhance the commitment of the University to strengthen its services, this project is a collaboration between KBWorld Trading Corp. and SLU, which unfolded as a beacon of environmental stewardship and sustainable progress.
The narrative began with KB World’s pivotal contribution, the construction of not one, but two state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plants servicing the bustling main campus buildings of the University. KB World further extended its impact to SLU Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC) with the installation of a dedicated Sewage Treatment Plant.
In a stride towards addressing one of the most fundamental needs, KBWorld has inaugurated a cutting-edge water refilling station on campus, which stands as a testament to its pledge of providing not just water but clean and potable water to every corner of SLU.
This newly commissioned water refilling station is not merely a structure; it represents the latest chapter in KBWorld’s journey to be a steadfast partner in SLU’s pursuit of environmental sustainability. As the station’s pristine water flows, it symbolizes a commitment to the continuous betterment of the university’s environmental footprint.
Aside from strong partnership, KB World Trading Corp envisions to be a reliable water resource of SLU, where every clean drop signifies a steady and enduring relationship in the noble cause of supplying clean water. This joint initiative mirrors the vitality of knowledge and growth in the University.
