Saint Louis University (SLU), through its President, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, officially unveiled another “Water is Life” refilling station at the SLU Maryheights Campus on 12 February 2024.
In gracing the event, Rev. Fr. said that this initiative provides students and staff with clean drinking water. He reminded everyone to “use it to the best of our abilities and to keep it always clean,” and that the Louisian community is urged to consistently use water bottles for drinking water. He also expressed hopes that the project will provide clean potable water for the community for many years.
In partnership with KB World Trading Corporation, the project is aligned with the University’s efforts and commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable progress through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), specifically SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation for All.
“Water is Life” refilling stations are the very testament to SLU’s pledge of providing not just water but clean and potable water to every corner of SLU.
It can be recalled that last 28 November 2023, SLU and KB World held the blessing of the water refilling station, Water is Life, at the Diego Silang Building in the SLU Main Campus, Bonifacio St.
