The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) – SLU Chapter, in partnership with the Department of Accountancy, Business Laws, and Taxation (ABLT), recently conducted the JPIA Level Up tutorial classes from 3 to 5 April 2024, at the Devesse Building, Maryheights Campus.
In line with the objective of the Project Accounting Accelerator for All (AAA) of the ABLT, which aims to assist accountancy students in their academic goals, the activity is initiated to “level up” students’ understanding through a strategic series of tutorials collaborated with accountancy professors. It is organized as a regular event and is set a week before the departmental examinations to serve as a recall point or a refresher for the most requested accounting subjects and topics.
The Level Up focuses on targeting accounting subjects that most accountancy students find challenging and complex based on surveys floated before every Tutorial session. This tactical program became vital and impactful for the attendees as they were clarified about the vagueness of the chosen topics through the guidance and insights of the professors. It also strengthened the students’ foundation in terms of the theoretical aspects and their applications, as one of the techniques highlighted in the session is the comprehensive problem-solving approach.
Inspired by excellence, JPIA – Level Up will continue in the future. This further emphasizes the continuing commitment of JPIA-SLU to serving the accountancy community toward success through collaboration.
The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Saint Louis University (JPIA-SLU) Chapter is sheltered and guided by the four core values of Saint Louis University in serving Louisian accountancy students. In responding to the attainment of SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals) under the Sustainable Development Goal, the organization conducts such activity that strengthens Louisian accountancy students’ potential and competence—guided by the CICM advocacy of Integrity of Creation.
