Saint Louis University (SLU) Parish celebrated its 52nd anniversary with the theme: “Unity in Prayer: A Catalyst for Transforming Society,” culminating in Health Fair 2.0 spearheaded by the SLU Health Services Unit (HSU) Medical Clinic on 18 to 19 June 2024. The initiative, which catered to both students and employees, saw collaborative efforts with different health institutions across the City.
Continuing from the Health Fair organized in Barangay Happy Hallow last May, the HSU Medical Clinic extended its services by providing free computerized eye examinations, eyewear consultations, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy in collaboration with Ideal Vision Center and Nature’s Greatest Treasure (NGT) Health and Wellness Center.
Dr. Hosanna Mae Pajela, Head of the HSU and key organizer of Health Fair 2.0, mentioned that they have expanded their collaboration with the medical society, allowing partners to visit the University and offering students and employees eye exams and other treatments to identify potential health issues.
By prioritizing the health of its stakeholders, SLU has taken a significant step towards enhancing the overall well-being of its students and staff, fostering a healthier, more productive academic environment. This initiative aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 3 – Good Health and Well-being and 17 – Partnership for Goals.

As part of these health services, SLU-HSU Medical Clinic will also organize the Oplan Tuli Drive, a circumcision campaign led by urologist Doctor Darwin Galuba. The event is scheduled to take place on 22 and 29 June 2024 at the SLU Main Campus.
