In order to reinforce commitment to quality Catholic education, the International Office of Catholic Education (OIEC) met virtually with Saint Louis University (SLU) on 16 October 2024.
The OIEC Secretary General, Hervé Lecomte, discussed with SLU Executive Assistant to the President and Officer-in-Charge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Binnadang Center, Joselito C. Gutierrez, PhD, and Office for Global Relations and Alumni Affairs Director Stephenie O. Busbus, PhD potential projects in view of the shared commitment to Catholic education and human formation.
The said meeting further solidified SLU as a dynamic institution in Asia that plays a significant role in coordinating 49 Catholic schools in the region. Centered on the shared commitment to promote the quality of Catholic Education by enhancing connections between global institutions, the event strengthens the CICM Advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), and Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17).
