A brief history of SLU HSU
The SLU Medical Clinic offers a range of health services, categorized into paid and free access options to cater to the diverse needs of its community.
Paid access includes essential vaccinations such as Hepatitis A and B vaccines, as well as the flu vaccine, and diagnostic services like electrocardiograms (ECGs). Additionally, certain medical supplies—such as oxygen canulas, IV catheters, bandages, and surgical masks—are available for purchase.
In contrast, the clinic provides nearly all other services free of charge, ensuring that students and employees have access to comprehensive healthcare without financial barriers. This balanced approach underscores the clinic’s commitment to promoting health and wellness within the university community.
More specifically, these services include, but are not limited to, Assessment, Development and Implementation of a Health Plan, Referral System, Medical Administration, Response and Management of Health Concerns, Promotive and Preventive Programs, Client Education, as well as Documentation/Recording/Reporting of health records.
