Members of the Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) including medical students, clerks, interns, and consultants gathered in Villa Maria, Porac, Pampanga, to deliver a Medical and Dental Mission. This event took place on 10 November 2024, through a collaboration led by the President of the Philippine Dental Association, Inc. Angeles City Chapter Dr. Charleen Farin in partnership with the Rotary Club of San Fernando City, the La Union Infinity Eagles Club, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The mission provided essential healthcare and dental services to the community, with 101 adults and 94 children receiving medical consultations. Additionally, the team performed 19 circumcisions and 2 minor surgeries. Beyond immediate treatment, the mission emphasized preventive health education by teaching children proper toothbrushing and handwashing techniques as well as organizing small-group discussions on teenage pregnancy awareness among adolescents.
This outreach highlighted the power of compassion and teamwork in creating meaningful change and nurturing a sense of connection and hope among participants and beneficiaries alike. MOMFI extends sincere thanks to all volunteers and partner organizations, as this mission exemplifies success through united service.
The activities carried out align closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing the commitment to improving health outcomes, promoting education, and fostering collaborative efforts for sustainable community development.
