The CMCI Academic Symposium is an annual competition organized by the DTI to introduce transformative ideas and initiatives in shaping the cities and municipalities across the country through discussions and collaborations.
SLU’s participation and victory in this event proves its commitment in upholding the ingrained values of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) and reaffirms its mission to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Further, this accomplishment affirms the CICM Advocacies of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, while also bolstering the SLU core value of creativity as the research focuses on cultivating creativity as an additional pillar in the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index framework.
