Baguio Association of Government Grantees and Scholars – Saint Louis University (BAGGS- SLU), a duly recognized organization of government grantees and scholars in SLU, successfully conducted the “KnowDirection: IskoDrive”on 16 March 2024 at Baguio City National High School, Irisan, Baguio City, Benguet.
Sixteen dedicated student-volunteers and scholars led by Jasmine Kate Ricamona, with the support of BAGGS Adviser, Stephenie O. Busbus, PhD, guided twenty-eight (28) senior high school students.

The outreach initiative provided significant guidance to senior high school students in preparing for their college entrance and scholarship examinations, particularly the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholarship. Through engaging tutorial and advice sessions, the event aimed to enhance the students’ readiness and confidence in tackling crucial exams.
Beyond academic preparation, the initiative sought to inspire and equip aspiring scholars with strategies for success. The volunteers also shared their personal experiences and insights to motivate the students in their academic journey. To support their studies, participants received tokens, including pens, pencils, and erasers.
Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) 4: Quality Education, KnowDirection: IskoDrive reinforced the importance of education in shaping a brighter future by empowering senior high school students with tutorial sessions and essential resources to prepare for college entrance and scholarship exams. It also strengthens SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities as the program supports students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equal access to quality review programs and academic guidance. Additionally, the initiative promoted SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration between student volunteers, educators, and scholars to create a supportive learning environment.
Through mentorship and community engagement, KnowDirection: IskoDrive reinforced the importance of collective efforts in achieving educational success. (Article and Photos by BAGGS – SLU)
