The President of Saint Louis University, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, was among the esteemed speakers during the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU) Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico on 30 July 2025.
Representing the Louisian community as well as the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM), Fr. Sales presented “SLU’s Experience of Faith and Culture.” He shared how SLU continues the CICM mission by making education accessible to indigenous communities in the Cordillera, grounded in Catholic faith. More than just a place for academic achievement, SLU is a community committed to the formation of persons guided by the Gospel Values, integrating faith into all aspects of life and learning.
For Fr. Sales, SLU is a space where faith and culture converge, helping students grow not just in knowledge but in compassion and integrity, and where the diversity of traditions, cultures, and the arts is genuinely valued and celebrated.
Here now is Fr. Gilbert’s video presentation that offers a glimpse the activities of faith and culture in our institution, the Saint Louis University, the largest Catholic university, north of the Philippines.
