The Philippine Society of Quality (PSQ), in partnership with the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), hosted the 35th National Quality Forum on 23-24 October 2025, held at the John Hay Convention Center, Baguio City.
With the theme “Sustainable Excellence: Purpose at the Heart of Quality,” the event highlighted the importance of quality practices across different industries. The two-day event was attended by leaders, experts, and changemakers dedicated to promoting excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. This was the first time that the event took place outside of the GMA area.
A vibrant cultural dance performance by the Program for Cordillera Traditional Music and Dances (PCTMD) under the SLU Museum of Igorot Culture and Arts opened the program, which showcased the rich cultural heritage and artistry of the Cordilleran community.
One of the keynote speakers was Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, who shared insights on how to lead with purpose through quality, accountability, and integrity.

The partnership between SLU SEA IE and PSQ demonstrated a shared goal of cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation, aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Furthermore, this collaboration provided students and faculty with valuable exposure to real-world quality practices, bridging academic learning and professional standards, affirming the CICM Advocacy on Dialogue.
SLU SEA IE took on various key roles during the event, serving as members of the technical and production teams, handling stage design, and assisting the guests and speakers as ushers, moreover, safety officers and first aiders were also present, all of which contributed to the organized and seamless flow of the forum.
