The School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) witnessed a milestone yesterday with the first-ever collaboration of various student organizations in a Creative Writing workshop. Spearheaded by the New Louisian Philosophical Society (NEOLOUPHIS) through Project Innovation. The event was held in partnership with the University Library and the American Corner Baguio, alongside the Communication Society (ComSoc), Political Science Academic Society (POSAS), and the Prime Movers Society (PRIMOSO).
This workshop formed part of the NEOLOUPHIS Theme Research Workshop and Discourse Series, tied with the University Library’s Experience USA and Information Session. The resource speaker, Ms. Kaye Leah Sitchon, delivered a timely and inspiring talk on “The Alchemy of Words: Building Narrative from Research and Experience.” Her insights resonated with the theme, emphasizing the transformative power of words in bridging research and creative expression.
The session equipped Louisian student researchers with new styles and techniques to enrich their writing, encouraging them to move beyond their comfort zones and explore innovative approaches. By integrating creativity, lived experiences, and reflective insights with research, students discovered fresh horizons where meaning and discovery converge.

As participants incorporate this newfound knowledge into their academic and organizational outputs, Project Innovation stands as a testament to the values of creativity, innovation, and quality—hallmarks of Louisian excellence in collaborative learning and research.
The NEOLOUPHIS extends heartfelt gratitude to the University Library for its support in making the event possible and for fostering collaboration among various student organizations. Special appreciation is also given to POSAS, PRIMOSO, and COMSOC for their positive response and partnership in this pioneering initiative. Such collaborations are anticipated to continue strengthening the academic and creative community in the future.

This milestone shows that when united, creativity and innovation thrive—proving that with great minds working together, limitless possibilities emerge.
The workshop advances the Sustainable Development Goals by promoting Quality Education (SDG 4) through creative and research-based writing skills, strengthening Partnerships (SDG 17) through collaboration among student organizations and institutional partners, and fostering Innovation (SDG 9) through Project Innovation initiatives that highlight creativity and originality. It also affirms the CICM Advocacy of dialogue. (Article by NEOLOUPHIS | Photos by Communication Society and NEOLOUPHIS)
