In line with the teacher empowerment initiative for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), a workshop of digital readiness and instructional innovation among 120 Department of Education (DepEd) educators was conducted on 25 November 2025.
Led by Rocket Innovations PH, the official implementing partner of Google for Education for Project SINAG (Supercharging Instruction for National Advancement with Google), the event successfully united dedicated teachers committed to elevating 21st century learning in their schools.
As part of its 114th Foundation Week Celebration, the event was hosted by Saint Louis University (SLU) at the Navy Base campus through the collaboration of the SLU Information Systems And Technology Services Department (ISTSD), Data Protection Office (DPO), and Basic Education School (BEdS).

This impactful initiative equipped teachers with powerful digital tools such as Google Workspace for Education Plus, Google AI tools (Gemini, NotebookLM), and enhanced Google Classroom features. These technologies not only aim to enrich teaching and learning but also empower participants to become mentors and catalysts for digital transformation within their divisions. Participant feedback emphasized the workshop’s relevance, practicality, and forward-thinking approach, underscoring the success of this collaboration.
The event also aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals). (Article and Photos by SLU ISTSD)
