Saint Louis University Basic Education School (SLU BEdS), in collaboration with SLU Community Extension and Outreach Programs Office (CEOPO), conducted a community outreach program on 15 February 2025 at the Happy Hollow Elementary School (HHES) in Barangay Happy Hollow, Baguio City.
The Saint Louis University Basic Education School – Laboratory High School Department (SLU BEdS – LHS) kicked off Intramurals 2025 on 16 January 2025 at the Gerard Decaestecker Open Court, SLU Navy Base Campus with lively cheers from various teams, all eager to showcase their athletic skills. Three exceptional students from Saint Louis University Basic Education School (SLU BEDS) – Senior High have been honored with the prestigious Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Award by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). This accolade, presented during a ceremony at the Newtown Plaza Hotel, recognizes their outstanding achievements in international STEM competitions. They were among forty-nine students from the Cordillera Administrative Region to receive this esteemed recognition.
The Catholic Central School of Tabaco, Albay, Inc., led by Rev. Fr. Augusto O. Abril, conducted a benchmarking visit to the SLU BEdS High School campus. This initiative, attended by school administrators, faculty members, and support staff, aimed to explore and adopt best educational practices.
Competing with over 900 students, 219 schools, 353 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) project entries, and 80 countries, Project DANUM of Team Chromium Crusaders from Saint Louis University Basic Education School (SLU BEdS) garnered a Gold medal on the national level and a Silver medal on the international level during the Gizmos Global STEM Competition 2023 that ran from September to December 2023.
Saint Louis University Basic Education School, represented by seven senior high school Lousians and Science teachers, participated in the SIHAY National Biology Olympiad 2024 𝙍𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨 on 13-14 April 2024 at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Laguna.
Lara Annika Paula E. Namoca, a Grade 10 student at the Basic Education School (BEdS), emerged as a finalist in the National Science and Technology Fair 2024 (NSTF 2024), held at Sequoia Hotel in Parañaque City from 1-5 April 2024. Ms. Namoca represented the Cordillera Administrative Region after securing victory in the Regional Science and Technology Fair held in December 2023. In her category, Life Science Individual, 16 projects were submitted from different regions across the Philippines. Only eight projects qualified and advanced as the finalists in the competition. Mr. John Michael A. Guerzon served as her coach and research adviser.
The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) orchestrated the 2024 In-Service Training for Junior High School Teachers on 9 to 11 February through virtual meetings, and 1 to 4 March 2024 at the Lima Park Hotel in Malvar, Batangas.
