The Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Mining Engineering conducted a physical inspection and monitoring activity on 17 November 2025 at the Dean’s Office of the School of Engineering and Architecture of Saint Louis University (SLU), with the assistance of the Professional Regulation Commission – Cordillera Administrative Region (PRC-CAR).
The PRC delegation included the Chairman of the Board of Mining Engineering Hon. Ramon N. Santos, Board of Mining Engineering Hon. Augusto C. Villaluna, and PRC-CAR Representatives Mr. Wayne B. Crispin and Ms. Pauline Anne S. Metra.
This activity was in line with the Section 9 of Republic Act No. 8981, otherwise known as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2000,” which outlines the Powers, Functions, and Responsibilities of the Various Professional Regulatory Boards. It reflects the university’s unwavering commitment to quality education while aligning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
