Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) produced a topnotcher in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT). Jamyline Kate S. Esteban from the Bachelor of Secondary Education program, with a rating of 93.80%, ranked 7th among the examinees. Additionally, SLU earned a 95.92% passing rate (47 out of 49 examinees). These were announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 12 May 2026.
The PRC also revealed that 18,376 elementary teachers out of 32,796 examinees (56.03%) and 45,001 secondary teachers out of 61,561 examinees (73.10%) passed the March 2026 LEPT.
The LEPT was conducted on 15 March 2026 at testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Batanes, Bayambang, Bohol, Cauayan, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Lipa (Batangas), Maasin (Southern Leyte), Marinduque, Mati, Nueva Vizcaya, Oroquieta (Misamis Occidental), Romblon, Sablayan (Occidental Mindoro), Tagum, Masbate City and Virac, Catanduanes.
