Saint Louis University (SLU) held an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 21001:2018 Reorientation, Training, Calibration, and Workshop in two batches on 10 and 11 June 2026 at the Audio-Visual Room of the Rizal Building, SLU Main Campus. The activity aimed to strengthen the university’s implementation of the Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) and align institutional practices with ISO standards.
Organized by the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), the full-day program began with an overview of the training objectives and expected outputs. Participants then received a refresher on ISO 19011:2018, which provided guidelines for auditing management systems.
The series of sessions covered the major clauses of ISO 21001:2018, starting with Clauses 4 and 5 on Context and Leadership, including vision, mission, and policy alignment. This was followed by Clauses 6 and 7 on Planning and Support, with discussions on risk management in education, resources, and staff competence.

The afternoon sessions focused on Clause 8, which covered Operation, including learner admission, curriculum design, program delivery, and assessment of learning outcomes. Clauses 9 and 10 then addressed Performance Evaluation and Improvement through student satisfaction surveys, tracer studies, internal audits, and corrective actions.
Aside from the technical sessions, the program included a workshop and presentation that allowed participants to apply what they have learned during the workshop proper.
Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education ) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals), the event reflected SLU’s commitment to quality assurance, institutional alignment, and continuous improvement in educational management.
