On 10 October 2025, the Professional Education Department of Saint Louis University’s School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) actively participated in the Zonal Public Hearing on the Reframed Pre-Service Teacher Education Curriculum, a key initiative aimed at reshaping the future of teacher education in the Philippines.

Saint Louis University remains to be a Center of Excellence for Teacher Education. This was revealed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)- Teacher Education Council (TEC) as it extended SLU’s role as the Teacher Education-Center of Excellence (COE) for an additional year, from 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2025.

This was released through CHED Memorandum Order No. 07, series of 2024, dated 16 September 2024. This status affirms SLU’s commitment to pursuing and maintaining academic excellence.
