Saint Louis University remains to be a Center of Excellence for Teacher Education. This was revealed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)- Teacher Education Council (TEC) as it extended SLU’s role as the Teacher Education-Center of Excellence (COE) for an additional year, from 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2025.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted, once again, autonomous status to Saint Louis University, valid until September 2027. This was released through CHED Memorandum Order No. 07, series of 2024, dated 16 September 2024. This status affirms SLU’s commitment to pursuing and maintaining academic excellence.
To solidify partnership for scholarships, Saint Louis University (SLU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Institute of International Education (IIE), the contractor for the Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program (DISP) funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), alongside scholars from Myanmar on 5 September 2024, at the Burgos Conference Room, Administrative Building, SLU Main Campus.
